Jessica Hansen recently joined Lyft as their Social Impact Manager. She spent the last six years as Global Engagement Manager for Kiva, the world’s largest non-proft microfinance platform. Prior she lived and worked in rural Kenya with Nuru International. She has also worked at UNHCR, USCRI, the Women’s Refugee Commission, Mercy Corps, and Doctors Without Borders. Her work has focused primarily on the protection and empowerment of women and girls, increased access to education and finance, and the rights and safety of refugees and immigrants. Her fieldwork has been based mostly in East Africa and Southeast Asia.
