In what may be the least influential celebrity endorsement of all time, former news personality Greta Van Susteren is getting into the app game with a new apology platform aptly titled, “Sorry.”

Greta Van Susteren announced she’s launching an apology app called “Sorry”

According to her Facebook post, Van Susteren explains that the app will allow users to “accept or reject” apologies sent from friends AND public figures (the former to be kept between users, while the latter is public for the entire platform to see).

It sounds like a joke, and G-dawg’s social media posts aren’t helping

Van Susteren’s free-wheelin’ Facebook post (aka run-on sentence-ville) included many grand claims. Gems like, “SNAPCHAT AND INSTAGRAM are about to get some competition!” and “SO MANY MORE DETAILS AND FEATURES TO COME!”

And the best yet, her deadpan response to a fan’s congratulatory comment: “It is fun to try something new.” *neutral face emoji*

Aren’t public apologies what Facebook and Twitter are for?

Greta gives us the obvious answer in her post — “we have done the research and people apologize on social media more than 475k/ a day…” In other words: Yes! People already do this constantly, and there is absolutely no need for it an app dedicated solely to purpose.

Sorry is said to launch for free starting November 14th, and we hope the first apology on it will be from Greta herself.
