the story

Since when do scissors make a gift guide? Since the senior execs at Milwaukee decided to pull the trigger on these double-bladed wonders.

Milwaukee has led the heavy-duty tool industry in innovation since the company’s creation in 1924. In that time, they’ve created countless tools all with the craftsmen who use them in mind. So naturally, when the folks at Milwaukee sat down to design a pair of scissors they set the bar high — very high.

why we like it

In our world, there’s really nothing better than a great pair of scissors. They come in handy more times than we have Amazon packages to open.

The Milwaukee Jobsite Scissors are made of iron carbide, meaning they stay super sharp no matter what you throw at them. We’ve cut everything from paper and cardboard to those anti-theft plastic clamshell packages — nothing stood a chance.

Plus, the all metal handles pull double duty: they look badass and protect the handles from breakage like you’d find with cheaper plastic scissor handles.

And with a price point of $18.99, it was really a no-brainer for us. High quality at a fair price — Milwaukee for the win.

the competition

In our experience, there are other suitable scissors out there, but none like the Milwaukees. For the budget-conscious we’d recommend the Wescott 8” Titanium Scissors or the classic orange handled Fiskars scissors.

Both make a solid alternative to the slightly more expensive Milwaukee scissors. However, comparing them side-to-side there’s a far higher level of quality with the Milwaukee scissors and for less than $10 more, there’s no reason not to splurge.
