How Coffee Meets Bagel Makes Money

Hustle Con is a badass conference where the best non-technical founders (like Dawoon here) teach how they got started and give practical advice on growing your startup. This is the first in a weekly series of stories where we profile top, successful, hustlers. Check it out →
Coffee Meets Bagel is the In-N-Out of the dating world. Instead of giving you tons of ‘meh’ options, they send users one, high-quality match a day.

If you haven’t heard of Coffee Meets Bagel, it’s a crazy popular dating app founded by three sisters.

And if you watch Shark Tank, they’re the startup that recently turned down Mark Cuban’s $30m offer (kind of).

But what’s really interesting is that none of the sisters know how to code. Not even a little bit.

In this week’s infographic, we explain how Coffee Meets Bagel created a popular app and raised $11m.

At Hustle Con, Dawoon Kang (founder of Coffee Meets Bagel) is going to teach how she:

  • Created an MVP to validate her app before hiring developers
  • Hires and manages developers…both in the early days and now
  • Raised venture capital without being a technical founder

If you wanna come to Hustle Con on April 24th, click here to get your ticket. Prices go up $50 at the end of this week.
