Hey everyone, I’m Dr. Parik Patel, BA, CFA, ACCA, Esq.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a Chartered Fin-meme Analyst (CFA) and Twitter’s most qualified fintwit account.

Anyways, I’ve been told that I have a particular insight into the world of finance, memes and everything in between.

The team at The Hustle asked me to give my thoughts on investing in 2021.

Memes are the new fundamentals

Wow, 2021.

What a wild year.

As a chartered financial analysis (CFA) — not sure I’ve mentioned this — I’m a traditionally trained investor who believes in fundamentals.

You can see here my rigorous pre-2021 investment analysis approach:

GameStop, Wall St. Bets and @elonmusk made me re-evaluate everything, though. It’s quite clear that memes and jokes are an important consideration.

If you’ve been following me over the past 12 months, you’ve clearly seen me embrace this format when it comes with to understanding stocks.

Here’s how I applied this understanding to TAAMMG — Tesla, Apple, Amazon, Meta, Micorosft, Google (aka world’s biggest companies):

Tesla

Apple

Amazon

Microsoft

Meta (aka the company formerly known as Facebook)
